Faisal Saleh's Embroidered Gaza Memorial at Venice Biennale 2026
The collateral exhibition "Gaza – No Words – See the Exhibit" at Palazzo Mora will take place during the 2026 Venice Biennale, showcasing one hundred embroidered pieces crafted with the Palestinian Tatreez technique. Curated by Faisal Saleh, the founder of the Palestine Museum US, this project reflects on the recent tragedies in Gaza through images captured over the last two and a half years. Over the course of sixteen months, Saleh has expressed his disappointment with Western media for their inadequate coverage of Gaza, noting that many international publications have overlooked the exhibition. Running until November 22, 2026, the exhibit is informally referred to as "the real Palestinian Pavilion" and could pave the way for a Gaza Genocide Museum in the U.S.
