FAI Allocates €700,000 for 20 Italian Heritage Sites

The FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), with backing from Intesa Sanpaolo, has dedicated €700,000 for the restoration of 20 'Luoghi del Cuore' throughout Italy as part of its 12th annual census. Of this amount, €520,000 is earmarked for projects that received a minimum of 2,500 votes, while €180,000 is reserved for the three leading sites: Santuario di Nostra Signora delle Grazie (Nizza Monferrato), Fontana Antica (Gallipoli), and Chiesa di San Giorgio (Tellaro). Notable projects include Asilo Sant'Elia in Como, Museo Filippa in Rimella, and various initiatives in Rome, Vicenza, and Catanzaro. Since 2003, the program, which involves over 100 stakeholders, has facilitated 180 interventions. The upcoming census will launch online in May 2026.
