Face(t)s of the City: Kagiso Patrick Mautloa's Johannesburg at Bag Factory

Kagiso Patrick Mautloa's exhibition "Face(t)s of the City" at the Bag Factory Artists' Studios in Johannesburg presents the city as a material language shaped over seven decades. The show includes drawings, layered paintings, multimedia collages, and distinctive sculptures that trace inner-city textures, discarded objects, and street economies. Critically, the studio enters the gallery: Mautloa will continue work on large-scale paintings during the run. Opening during the Bag Factory's 35th anniversary year, the exhibition celebrates its longest-standing artist. It runs from 20 August to 19 September.
