Fabrizio Dusi's 'Mai più Fascismo' neon installation on Milan's Fondazione Feltrinelli

artist · 2026-05-04

On March 23, 2019, a luminous installation reading 'Mai più Fascismo' (Never Again Fascism) appeared on the main facade of the Fondazione Feltrinelli in via Pasubio, Milan, and remained for three days. Created by artist Fabrizio Dusi (born 1974 in Sondrio), the work commemorates the centenary of the founding of Fascism in Piazza San Sepolcro, Milan. The 14 letters were placed one by one in the window bays of the Herzog & De Meuron-designed concrete and glass building, forming a sort of urban notebook with a line per floor. Dusi conceived the idea after attending the presentation of Antonio Scurati's book 'M. Il figlio del Secolo'; he created a rendering that night and sent it to the foundation, receiving immediate approval. The installation is part of Dusi's series of impactful neon works defending human rights, including 'DON'T KILL' at the Casa della Memoria, 'NOBODY CRIED NOBODY TALKED', a quote from Primo Levi, 'L'ODORE DELLA PAURA', and 'LA MEMORIA RENDE LIBERI' at the Shoah Memorial of Binario 21 in Milan's central station. The article was written by Emilia Antonia De Vivo for Artribune.
