Fabio Sargentini opens new season of Martedì Critici at MAXXI B.A.S.E.

The fifth season of Martedì Critici, a series of curator-led discussions, kicks off in Rome at a new location: MAXXI B.A.S.E., moving from its previous home at MACRO. Critics Alberto Dambruoso and Guglielmo Gigliotti now lead the format, which features not only artists but also influential figures in the art scene. The inaugural guest is gallerist Fabio Sargentini (born 1939, Rome), who took over the family business from his father, Bruno. Together, they established L'Attico in Piazza di Spagna in 1957, collaborating with renowned artists like Capogrossi and Magritte. Sargentini ventured out on his own in 1966, opening a second venue in a garage on Via Beccaria in 1968, where he showcased emerging talents.
