Fabio Giampietro: NFT artist on crypto art, galleries, and the metaverse
Fabio Giampietro, born in Milan in 1974, started painting in his childhood and returned to it after completing university. His debut solo exhibition took place at Fabbrica Eos in 2004. A technology aficionado, he showcased the VR exhibition "Hyperplanes of Simultaneity" at Milan's Palazzo Reale in 2016, where it drew 18,000 attendees and earned the Lumen Prize. Giampietro ventured into the NFT realm early on, minting images of physical artworks featuring figures like Alan Turing. He perceives the physical and digital markets as distinct, often noting that digital prices are higher. His inaugural solo drop on Nifty Gateway was set for May 26, 2022. Currently, he is exhibiting "The Lift" at MEET in Milan and has upcoming projects in Dubai and Miami.
