Fabio De Benedettis Photography Exhibition at Biblioteca Bernardini in Lecce
Fabio De Benedettis (Rome, 1969) presents about forty photographs at the Convitto Palmieri in Lecce, home of the Biblioteca Bernardini, in an exhibition curated by Anna Cirignola. The show inaugurates the library's new exhibition season focused on contemporary experiences. The sober display highlights colors and signs in both large and small prints spanning the last twenty years of the Roman artist's photographic work. Carmelo Cipriani's accompanying text notes De Benedettis's primary interest in narrating reality, the street, and society. Subjects include distant geographies, vegetables, bodies, a helmet in smoke, and a solitary flower, all traces of the artist's personal vision. The exhibition is promoted by the Polo Biblio-Museale of the province of Lecce.
