Fabiana Sargentini's film on Fabio Sargentini screens at L'Attico garage
On March 10, from 7 to 9 PM, Fabiana Sargentini's documentary 'Tutto su mio padre, Fabio Sargentini' will be projected at the historic garage of Galleria L'Attico in Via Cesare Beccaria 22, Rome. The space, reopened for one evening thanks to Associazione Teatro in Scatola, holds deep personal and art-historical significance. Fabiana, a Roman filmmaker and daughter of gallerist Fabio Sargentini, describes the event as a reappropriation of a memory-laden site. The documentary, originally commissioned by the now-defunct Rai Sat in 2003, features artists and critics such as Michelangelo Pistoletto and Achille Bonito Oliva, a ping-pong match between Fabio and Marco Lodoli, and reflections on her parents—her father the gallerist and her mother a painter. The screening also serves as a tribute to Jannis Kounellis, who famously exhibited 12 live horses at that very garage, a mythic gesture in contemporary art. Today, L'Attico operates in Via del Paradiso, making this return to its original location particularly poignant.
