Fabbri Prize Opens to Photography for First Time in 113-Year History
The Fabbri Prize, a triennial art award associated with the iconic Amarena Fabbri cherry preserve brand, has opened its sixth edition to photography for the first time. Previously focused on sculpture and painting, the prize now features 19 photographs by international artists selected by Nino Migliori, a founding father of 20th-century Italian photography and a past winner of the first edition. The works interpret the famous Amarena jar and are exhibited at Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande in Bologna. CEO Nicola Fabbri cited the brand's growing international presence in over 100 countries as a reason for the shift, noting photography's universal language. The exhibition coincides with the Christmas season, celebrating the brand's 113-year history.
