Extrarradio Estudio's Continuous Table Defines Zissou Office in Madrid
Extrarradio Estudio has transformed a fragmented commercial venue in Madrid's Tetuán district into ZISSOU, a fluid production headquarters. The project is anchored by a continuous custom-built table that meanders through the floor plan, transitioning from a collaborative desk to a meeting zone, kitchen, and integrated indoor garden. The studio stripped the three-level space back to white surfaces and linoleum flooring, creating a neutral backdrop. A transparent staircase with metal grating and perforated steel railing allows light to flow between levels. The basement houses a technical cave for sound mixing and post-production, offering an acoustically isolated environment. The mezzanine features technical blue carpet for acoustic comfort and management offices separated by glass partitions. Integrated planters in the central table act as spatial filters. The project avoids closed aesthetics, prioritizing human activity and interaction.
