Expo Chicago 2015 Showcases Quality Art with Strong Gallery Selection at Navy Pier

From September 17 to September 20, 2015, Navy Pier hosted Expo Chicago, the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, under the direction of Tony Karman. This event featured exceptional artworks from galleries in 16 different countries, with an emphasis on solo exhibitions. Noteworthy displays included a mini-retrospective of Richard Smith from Flowers Gallery, sculptures by Cordy Ryman from Galerie Zürcher, and paintings by Victoria Gitman from Garth Greenan Gallery. Local Chicago galleries, such as Richard Norton Gallery and Corbett vs Dempsey, also showcased impressive pieces. A selection committee comprised of established gallerists and emerging dealers contributed to the event. The new venue provided a better viewing experience than the previous site. Founded in 1980 by John Wilson, the fair's success depends on attracting international collectors.
