Exo-Evolution at ZKM Examines Anthropocene-Driven Human Evolution

The ZKM in Karlsruhe presented "Exo-Evolution" from October 30, 2015, to February 28, 2016. Curated under the theme of the Anthropocene, the exhibition explored the components and perspectives of an evolutionary process shaped by humans freed from natural constraints. It took an encyclopedic approach, covering topics such as exosomatic organs, technological extensions, and the co-evolution of humans and machines. The show featured works by various artists and historical artifacts, aiming to question the boundaries between nature and culture, biology and technology.
