Exister Festival Celebrates 10th Edition in Milan with Expanded Year-Round Program

The Exister dance festival in Milan marks its tenth edition from November 28 to December 5, 2017, with a nomadic format across Teatro Franco Parenti, DanceHaus, and Teatro Fontana. Curated by Annamaria Onetti, the festival is dedicated to the late Colombian choreographer Marta Ruiz, who contributed to the founding of ArtedanzaE20. Onetti distributed forget-me-not seed packets as a symbol of future growth. The festival expands to a year-long schedule, returning to its original format. It is organized by ArtedanzaE20 in collaboration with Teatro Franco Parenti and Teatro Fontana, and is part of DanceHausPiù/, a dance house founded by Susanna Beltrami for training and promotion. The program includes performances by Matteo Bittante (Vicolo dello specchio 1, referencing Cabaret Voltaire), Stefano Fardelli (Links), Susanna Beltrami and Alessandro Chiarato (Wakening the Sleeping Beauty, with 50 dancers and IED students), Marco Chenevier (Questo lavoro sull'arancia, with audience interaction), Enzo Cosimi (Thanks for hurting me – Kafka, concluding his trilogy Sulle passioni dell'anima), and Daniele Albanese (Von). A new initiative, DANCE MEETINGS, offers training for choreographers and operators on December 1-2 at DanceHaus. Milan's Culture Councillor Filippo Del Corno praised the festival's maturity and international network.
