Exhibition 'What They Saw' Showcases Historical Photobooks by Women from 1843 to 1999 at IMS Paulista

On March 17, the Photography Library of IMS Paulista will unveil the exhibition 'What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843-1999,' which features 106 photobooks celebrating the impact of women on visual culture. Curated by Russet Lederman and Olga Yatskevich from 10x10 Photobooks, the collection includes works sourced from the organization established in 2012. An opening day public discussion with Lederman is scheduled for 6:30 PM, and attendees must obtain free tickets one hour in advance. The exhibition is divided into ten sections, showcasing significant books and Brazilian photographers. It will be on display until August 2, following previous presentations at venues such as the Getty Research Institute and Museo Reina Sofía.
