Exhibition of the Year 2016 at t-space in Milan
Curated by Alberta Romano, 'Exhibition of the Year 2016' at t-space in Milan runs until July 16, 2016. The group show takes inspiration from Pantone's 2016 Color of the Year, a pairing of Rose Quartz and Serenity, chosen for its ability to comfort the average citizen. Romano describes the selection as a familiar story of sublimation and distortion that reflects on dominant aesthetics and their rapid, ephemeral dissemination. The exhibition features three artists: Luca Loreti, whose work pays homage to an idealized Orient blending China and Japan, Mount Fuji and robots, manga graphics, painting, sculpture, black-and-white drawings, and adhesive triptychs on walls; Alessandro Moroni, who creates a soundtrack for the occupied spaces by overlaying long wall channels from a music playback device across Loreti's painting; and Lorenzo Kamerlengo, whose work introduces a domestic dimension to the collective theme. The venue is t-space at Via Bolama 2.
