Excelsior Labs Tower by Eraclis Papachristou Architects Completed in Nicosia

architecture-design · 2026-05-24

The Excelsior Labs Tower, designed by Eraclis Papachristou Architects, was completed in 2022 in downtown Nicosia, Cyprus. The 13,300 m² office building is part of a broader urban regeneration effort that prioritizes pedestrian life and reduces vehicle traffic. The tower's design features a curtain wall façade that alternately conceals and reveals its programmatic volume through deliberate breaks. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta, with a lead team including Eraclis Papachristou, Elia Ioannou, Thalia Efstathiou, Timotheos Alexi, and Stella Parpa. General contractor was ZEMCO GROUP, project management by P.M.I, and engineering consultants included D&K EPS (civil), POLYPRO (mechanical), DOUBLEN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS (electrical), GEORGE A. PAPADOPOULOS (quantity surveying), and ARCHTUBE (lighting). Photographs were taken by Hufton+Crow. The tower is one of the first designs to adopt the new permitted scale in Nicosia.
