Ex to X: FLINTA*-Led Platform Redefines Berlin's Creative Economy

On July 31st, Ex to X, a new platform founded by creative producer Angelique Houben and model-entrepreneur Stefanie Giesinger, launched its first gathering in Berlin. The event, titled 'Chapter 1: The First Gathering,' featured a day-to-night format with morning matcha, collaborative work sessions, live music, art exhibitions, and natural wine. All collaborators, from DJs to bar staff and visual artists, were drawn from the FLINTA* community (women, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender). The initiative aims to dismantle gatekept structures in the creative economy by fostering radical solidarity and tangible opportunities for FLINTA* talent. In an interview with KALTBLUT magazine, Houben and Giesinger discussed their motivations, red flags, and the challenges of building a community-driven space in Berlin. Giesinger emphasized that her name can open doors but cannot create a community, and stressed the importance of consistent presence and collaboration. The platform also includes a website (ex-to-x.com) for portfolio registration and future chapter announcements. The launch event was documented by photographers Lucy Deverall and Milena Zara, with music curated by Hoe_mies, and featured performances by Goldie 333 and Dimi Rompos.
