Ex Post² at Galleria Civica di Trento: Four Artists in Dialogue with Curators

The Galleria Civica di Trento hosted the exhibition 'Ex Post²', featuring four artists—Michele Parisi, Pietro Weber, Veronica de Giovanelli, and the collective Mali Weil—each in dialogue with a curator. The exhibition followed the publication of individual monographs and included interviews exploring each artist's creative process. Michele Parisi, trained as a painter at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, combines photography and painting, using light to capture 'geographies of memory' and then manipulating the image with paint. Pietro Weber works exclusively in painted terracotta, inspired by ancient ceramics from Turkey, and creates series such as 'Le sentinelle' for the Castello di Agliè in Turin. Veronica de Giovanelli's paintings explore the relationship between humans and places, often evoking indefinite landscapes influenced by her Trentino upbringing, the Venice lagoon, and Norwegian fjords. The Mali Weil collective, led by Gabriele Lorenzoni, presents 'Forests', a research-based project on the forest as an assemblage of biological, linguistic, and legal relations, including a three-channel video installation with music by Nicola Segatta. The exhibition ran at the Galleria Civica di Trento in 2021.
