EX MACHINA: New Contemporary Art Festival in Scicli, Sicily

EX MACHINA, a contemporary art festival, will take place in Scicli, Ragusa province, from September 4 to 6, 2020. Curated by the independent collective Site Specific and aA29 Project Room, the event aims to turn the Baroque town into a vibrant cultural space, highlighting art's ability to inspire in a rapidly evolving society. The festival features a variety of activities, including performances, sound art installations, concerts, conferences, and guided tours. Artists such as Valentino Bianchi, Francesco De Grandi, and Sasha Vinci will showcase their works at the Ex Convento del Carmine and Palazzo Bonelli Patanè until October 4. Observers Laura Barreca, Maurizio Bortolotti, Rossella Farinotti, and Diego Mantoan will provide critical perspectives and foster public discussions, encouraging engagement with social, artistic, and political issues.
