Eventualmente Femminile: New Exhibition Explores Feminine in Art at Palazzo Capizucchi
A new exhibition project, Eventualmente Femminile, has launched in Rome with its first chapter, # la materia sensibile, at a temporary independent space in Piazza Campitelli. Curated by Veronica Montanino and Anna Maria Panzera, the show translates concepts from conferences held between 2016 and 2018 on the theme of the feminine in art. The curators reject the idea of a specific female art, instead proposing the feminine as a transversal paradigm and attitude, not limited to gender. The exhibition features artists EPVS, Bruna Esposito, Marianna Masciolini, Cristina Russo, Maurizio Savini, Bankeri, Piotr Hanzelewicz, and the duo Claire Fontaine, with an environmental intervention by Sauro Radicchi. The venue, a ground-floor apartment in historic Palazzo Capizucchi, contrasts with the traditional white cube, which the curators associate with a patriarchal art system. Keywords include matter, process, transformation, permeability, passage, and encounter with the other. Future chapters will address #generatività e processo, #movimento e metamorfosi, and #alterità e relazionalità dell’arte.
