Evelyn Taocheng Wang's first Italian institutional solo show at Museion

Museion in Bolzano, Italy, is hosting the first institutional solo exhibition in the country by Evelyn Taocheng Wang (b. 1981, Chengdu). The Rotterdam-based artist works across painting, writing, installation, performance, and fashion, developing a visual language infused with poetry, humor, and critical depth. Her practice intertwines art historical traditions, personal memory, and autofiction, challenging notions of authenticity and cultural representation. Wang's pictorial repertoire draws on what she calls her “eyeshadow palette of art history,” blending her training in classical Chinese ink painting and calligraphy with Western art schools.
