Evan Puschak's video explains modern painting from Manet to Pollock in six minutes

Blogger Evan Puschak, known as Nerd Writer, published a six-minute video on his YouTube channel tracing the history of modern painting from the mid-19th century to today. The video focuses on abstract works by American painter Jackson Pollock, famous for his large canvases created with the dripping technique. Fascinated by the emotion he felt viewing Pollock's paintings in person, Puschak explores the rapid changes in painting over less than a century, from Édouard Manet to Abstract Expressionism, passing through Impressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism. He states, 'I think Pollock's paintings have their own intrinsic value, but I also think they speak to something deeply inherent in human nature. The fact that we are obsessive.'
