EVA, one half of the German queer performance pair EVA & ADELE, passed away, as revealed on their Instagram on May 21, 2025, with the message, "EVA has returned to the future today." While the specifics regarding the cause of death and age remain private, EVA's symbolic age was noted as 34 years, one month, and 10 days, having been born on their wedding day in 1991 at Gropius Bau in Berlin. The duo, who began their artistic journey in the 1990s, identified as "hermaphrodite twins from the future," challenging traditional gender norms. Their inaugural public performance took place at the 1991 Venice Biennale. EVA underwent a transition in 2011 and contributed to significant events, coining the term "Futuring" to express humanity's influence on the future.
