Eva Frapiccini's Mafia Investigation to Debut in Palermo 2018

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Eva Frapiccini initiated her project titled 'Il pensiero che non diventa azione avvelena l'anima' in 2013 during a legality exhibition at the Palermo Courthouse, which was organized by Connecting Cultures and Isole. Although the exhibition faced cancellation due to financial constraints, Frapiccini delved into the Mafia's history in Palermo, particularly the Corleonesi. Over a span of nearly four years, she partnered with local organizations to collect materials for her installation. This installation is set to premiere in June 2018 at the Archivio Storico Comunale di Palermo as part of the Palermo Italian Capital of Culture initiative, before it travels to the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels. The project will ultimately be acquired by the Museo comunale d'arte moderna, dell'informazione e della fotografia di Senigallia.
