Eusebio Alonso Lecture on Peripheral Domestic Architecture at MACA Alicante

Architect Eusebio Alonso will deliver a lecture titled "Abriendo puertas y ventanas. Arquitectura doméstica periférica" at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante (MACA) on April 30, 2026, at 19:00. The talk will present a selection of his single-family houses, collective housing, and residential groupings from recent decades, reflecting on design principles such as the house as a poetic inhabited space, permeability and transparency, intermediate spaces for public-private transitions, and the relationship between house and city. Alonso's projects are peripheral in location, often in urban outskirts, and economically constrained, mostly involving subsidized or social housing. The lecture will also address the importance of domestic projects for individual life and city construction, drawing on his decades of teaching and research. Admission is free.
