digital · 2026-04-20

A tender has been initiated in Europe to choose ten operators tasked with creating and overseeing physical hubs throughout Italy aimed at digitizing cultural heritage. This effort is part of the "Dicolab. Cultura al digitale" project, which has allocated a budget of 2.6 million euros to bolster digital competencies among cultural professionals. Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2024, via the ALES – Arte Lavoro e Servizi S.p.a website. These hubs are expected to engage over 6,000 participants through various meetings, training sessions, and certifications, adding to Dicolab's existing 27,000 online registrations. This initiative is backed by the Ministry of Culture under the PNRR Cultura 4.0 framework and financed by the EU – Next Generation EU, with eligible operators required to have a site in specified regions.
