European Photography Exhibitions in 2026 Explore Memory, Queer Identity, and Fashion's Evolving Representation

In 2026, various photography exhibitions throughout Europe will examine themes of memory, authorship, and representation. Autograph in London will unveil Nhu Xuan Hua's inaugural solo exhibition in the UK on 16 April, showcasing modified family photographs that confront issues of migration and intergenerational silence. Hua, whose parents were Vietnamese War refugees and who was born in Paris, delves into communication influenced by her father's deafness. Meanwhile, 'Rico Reframed' at the Museum für Fotografie in Berlin will be on display until 15 February, featuring students who reinterpret Rico Puhlmann's work in light of modern diversity standards. Foam in Amsterdam presents 'Mid-Air' by Anuschka Blommers and Niels Schumm until 22 February, which critiques traditional fashion photography. Tim Walker's 'Fairyland' will open at the National Portrait Gallery in London on 8 October, highlighting queer artists, while Rafael Pavarotti's exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris is set to open on 2 October.
