Laura Samani won European Discovery for 'Piccolo corpo,' a film about death, rituals, and rebirth influenced by Ermanno Olmi, with Samani dedicating the award to sisterhood. Vicky Krieps won Best Actress for 'Corsage,' dedicating her award to women worldwide needing healing from generational wounds. The most moving moment was the Best Documentary award for 'Mariupolis 2' by Mantas Kvedaravicius, who was killed in Ukraine while delivering medicine; his daughter accepted the award. Margarethe von Trotta received the European Lifetime Achievement Award, urging the audience not to abandon cinema for electronic devices.
