exhibition · 2026-04-27

On December 10, 2020, at the Zoma Museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Italian artist Eugenio Tibaldi (born 1977 in Alba) unveiled his work titled Anthropogenic Connection during the 16th Giornata del Contemporaneo organized by AMACI. This project, created in collaboration with the Ethiopian museum and the Italian Institute of Culture between 2019 and 2020, marks the inaugural piece from the Zoma Bridge initiative, which seeks to transform over 40 temporary irrigation bridges into artistic structures. Curated by Meskerem Assegued and Adriana Rispoli, it features a permanent installation called Anthropogenic – Bridge and a series of plates known as Anthropogenic Herbarium, showcasing Tibaldi's residency. The installation incorporates decorative elements made from recycled materials, fostering a playful space for public engagement. Elmi Olindo & Co. provided support for this endeavor.
