Eugenia Vanni's Graphic Works at Fondazione il Bisonte Showcase Engraving's Contemporary Relevance

exhibition · 2026-04-26

'Eugenia Vanni. Opere grafiche (2009–2025)' is a solo exhibition at the Fondazione il Bisonte in Florence, curated by Silvia Bellotti. This showcase highlights a decade of Vanni's printmaking work. Born in Siena in 1980, Vanni is a visiting artist at the Académie Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels, where she produced new pieces such as the mezzotint diptych 'Tournée' (2025). Additional works featured include 'Xilofagia – Xilografia' (2018), 'Sturm Und Drang' (2011–2012), and 'Calendario' (2014). Established by Maria Luigia Guaita in 1959, the foundation's mission merges traditional engraving with modern art. Bellotti also leads the Post Print Media residency, which seeks to challenge graphic art norms.
