EU Cultural and Creative Monitor Launched in Bologna

On September 18, the Cultural and Creative Monitor was presented in Bologna. Developed by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), the interactive tool compares 168 European cities across 29 indicators measuring cultural vibrancy, creative economy, and enabling environment. The dataset includes European Capitals of Culture, UNESCO Creative Cities, and cities hosting at least two international cultural festivals. Italian cities monitored include Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Matera, Cagliari, Lecce, Perugia, Ravenna, Parma, Rome, Turin, Brescia, Milan, Naples, Venice, Trento, and Trieste. Country-specific fact sheets are available online. The tool aims to foster cultural development through peer learning and evidence-based policy.
