EU AI Act Compliance: LLM Validation Tools Studied
A new study from arXiv (2607.21608) investigates how organizations can translate EU AI Act obligations into testable requirements for Requirements Engineering (RE). The researchers propose LLM-based agentic validation tools to bridge the gap between regulatory mandates and verifiable evidence. Using a mixed-method approach with 10 expert interviews and an online survey of 15 participants across RE, data science, development, and compliance roles, the study finds that while the EU AI Act is seen as highly relevant, structured mechanisms for capturing regulatory obligations are lacking. The work highlights the potential of closed-loop validation tools to automate compliance processes.
