Ettore Spalletti's First Major London Solo Show in Over a Decade at Marian Goodman
Marian Goodman Gallery in London is hosting a solo exhibition of Italian artist Ettore Spalletti, titled 'Every dawn, is first / Ogni alba, è la prima'. This is Spalletti's first major monographic show in England since his 2005 exhibition at the Henry Moore Institute. The exhibition features a mix of recent works and pieces from the past 20–30 years, including 'L'Una nell'altro' (1992), 'Bacile' (1993), and 'Anfora' (1982). Newer monochrome works such as 'Il colore e l'oro', 'Grigio caldo', 'Verso il blu di Prussia', 'Azzurro', and 'Dentro l'Acqua' showcase his signature gold-edged frames. The monochrome panels are created through a meticulous daily application of color at the same hour. The exhibition also includes recent works on paper and the installation 'Lago', which occupies an entire room. The show runs until June 4, 2016.
