ETH Zurich's Graphic Collection Debuts at MASI Lugano with 300 Masterpieces

Starting September 10, 2023, and running until January 7, 2024, MASI Lugano is featuring an exhibition titled 'From Albrecht Dürer to Andy Warhol: Masterpieces from the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich.' This exhibit showcases 300 artworks from the graphic collection of ETH Zürich, which has been around since 1867. Linda Schädler has curated this display, which spans from the 15th century to contemporary times, featuring renowned artists like Dürer, Rembrandt, Goya, and Picasso, as well as modern figures such as John M. Armleder and Christiane Baumgartner. The collection includes prints and drawings, focusing on themes like originality versus reproduction. A highlight is a unique 'Petersburg-style' wall of portraits. ETH president Joël Mesot praised the collection's importance and excellence.
