estudio Hass Renovates Madrid Loft with Double-Height Ceilings

Madrid-based architecture firm estudio Hass has completed the renovation of a 75-square-meter loft in Madrid, Spain, transforming a fragmented interior into a coherent living space. The project, named H001CH-Hass loft, was led by architects Elena Moreno and Jorge Prieto, with curation by Valentina Díaz. Photographs of the completed space were taken by Asier Rua. The loft, which features double-height ceilings and abundant natural light, initially suffered from a poorly resolved bathroom on the ground floor and an unused void on the upper floor. The renovation aimed to impose order on the unstructured volume, creating a livable environment with a distinct identity. The project, categorized under renovation and apartment interiors, is expected to be completed in 2026. The architects' description highlights the challenge of converting the space's potential into a functional and coherent home.
