Espinasse31 Artist Residency Launches in Milan for Street and Pop Artists

A new artist residency called Espinasse31 has opened in Milan, exclusively for street and pop artists. Inspired by Andy Warhol's Factory, the space is located in a peripheral area near the Portello district, historically a working-class neighborhood undergoing urban redevelopment. The residency invites international artists to live and work in Milan for a month, leaving a trace of their passage. The inaugural exhibition, 'Street & Pop Meet Fashion,' features five artists—Carlos Cesar Alves, Caterina Crepax, Alex Korolkovas, Jenny Perez, and Flavio Rossi—who created works inspired by fashion, paying homage to Milan's international identity. The project aims to build a recognizable artistic identity for the area, similar to the transformation of Miami's Wynwood district.
