Eron's Milan solo show explores past and present through hyperrealist illusions

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Italian street artist Eron, born Davide Salvadei in Rimini in 1973, is presenting his first solo exhibition in Milan at Galleria Patricia Armocida. The show, titled #present #past #sentiment #dust, runs until November 5, 2016. Eron gained notoriety two years ago when he painted a hyperrealistic hole in the wall at MAR in Ravenna that fooled a worker into plastering it over. He is recognized by Treccani Encyclopedia as a significant figure in urban art and contemporary painting, with international collaborations and exhibitions in New York, Moscow, Barcelona, Cologne, Berlin, and Gaza. The exhibition features a composite collection of painted objects, canvases, and small-scale works exploring the relationship between present and past, material and immaterial. Eron moves beyond hyperrealism by blending antiquated tones with fluorescent colors, creating an effect reminiscent of cyanotype photography. The three-dimensional surfaces and worn appearance of newness produce a sophisticated yet communicative paradox, resulting in optical illusions of rare technical perfection and poetry.
