Ernesto Esposito's eclectic collection debuts in Turin at MEF
In Turin, the Museo Ettore Fico (MEF) is currently hosting 'ME TWO', the first exhibition featuring fashion designer Ernesto Esposito’s contemporary art collection. This show has two sections: 'Some people' and 'Brasil!'. The 'Some people' part takes viewers on a photographic journey from Von Gloeden to modern times, including works by artists like Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton, and Cindy Sherman. On the other hand, 'Brasil!' focuses on Brazilian contemporary art from the last twenty years, showcasing talents such as Matheus Rocha Pita and the Opavivarà! collective, alongside nods to Oscar Niemeyer’s architecture. The title cleverly references the 'Me Too' movement, linking the collector-artist dynamic to pressing social issues. Esposito is known for his collaborations with Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi, and is expanding his collection globally.
