Erling Kagge curates his collection at Museion Bolzano

Erling Kagge, Norwegian explorer and art collector, presents a selection of 60 works by 30 Nordic artists at Museion in Bolzano. The exhibition, titled 'La Collezione Kagge a Bolzano,' runs across two floors and includes drawings, paintings, photographs, and sculptures. Featured artists include Wolfgang Tillmans, Olafur Eliasson, Isa Genzken, Raymond Pettibon, Peter Wächtler, Jana Euler, Hanneline Røgeberg, and Kirsten Pieroth. Kagge's collection emphasizes existential affinities and the act of walking as a subversive gesture, echoing his books 'Silence' (2017) and 'Walking: A Subversive Gesture' (2018). The show explores themes of gender, literature, and the fragility of paper and writing. Kirsten Pieroth's works involve boiled books and painted Financial Times pages. The exhibition was curated by Kagge himself and runs at Museion in Bolzano.
