Erik Saglia's 'Interstellar' Shuttle to Connect Turin and Lingotto During Artissima
At Artissima 2023, artist Erik Saglia will unveil a unique site-specific project on a shuttle bus, reimagining it as an 'interstellar limbo.' This complimentary shuttle service, backed by galleries Société Interludio and Thomas Brambilla, will operate from Thursday to Sunday, connecting Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Lingotto Fiere, and Cambiano. Saglia's work is part of the larger 'Desiderio' initiative by Société Interludio, which delves into the concept of desire as a longing for stars (de-sidera) and the quest for new horizons. The project commenced in September 2023 with 'Preludio' at the gallery in Turin, curated by Allegra Fantini and Stefania Margiacchi, showcasing artists including Erik Saglia. The next phase, 'Atto Primo,' will launch on October 29 at the new Cambiano venue, featuring artists like Sophie Ko and Andrew Dadson, running until January 7, 2024.
