Erica Zolli's treasure hunt hides art in Milanese shops
Italian photographer Erica Zolli has launched a Christmas treasure hunt called 'Fa ballà l'oeucc' (Milanese for 'look around you') across Milan. From December 21 to 24, she will release clues on her Instagram page (@erikazolli) with the hashtag #cacciaalloperadarte2020, leading participants to nine limited-edition prints hidden in small local businesses such as bistros, florists, and tea shops. The artworks, each accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, represent projects currently exhibited in galleries in Paris, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv. Zolli conceived the project as a response to the cancellation of many exhibitions and art fairs in 2020, aiming to bring people to struggling small shops and offer a new, unconventional concept of an exhibition. She noted that the shopkeepers welcomed the idea with joy, and that uncertain times open doors to unthinkable projects.
