Enzo Nembrini’s Ecoedile: A Construction Company as Art Museum

Enzo Nembrini, a Bergamo-based construction entrepreneur, began collecting art fifteen years ago with a small sculpture by Davide Monaldi. His collection, now curated by Rischa Paterlini, includes works by Marcello Maloberti, Ode De Kort, Nina Carini, Maria Lai, Jacopo Benassi, Zanele Muholi, and Luca Bertolo, housed at Ecoedile’s headquarters. The building, designed by Arcoquattro Architettura, features a minimalist aesthetic inspired by Tadao Ando and Kengo Kuma. A site-specific intervention by Agostino Iacurci, titled "Mirage," covers all surfaces with botanical patterns and vibrant colors, creating an immersive environment. The company, with over 70 employees, focuses on high-quality restoration, infrastructure, sports, and residential projects. Nembrini emphasizes controlled growth and openness to experimentation. The collection and office space are open to the public, blending art, architecture, and daily work life.
