The Galleria Massimo Ligreggi in Catania is hosting a solo exhibition of works by Enzo Cacciola (born in Arenzano, 1945), an exponent of Italian Analytical Painting. Cacciola transforms cement into a painterly medium, mixing it with fresh pigments and allowing it to dry in varied ways, creating surfaces that appear as light veils despite the material's inherent heaviness. The exhibition highlights his decades-long experimentation with cement, a material widely used in art since the 1950s, which he treats as an active participant in the creative process alongside the artist's hand. The show runs in 2022.
