Enrico Bartolini brings three Michelin stars back to Milan after 25 years at Mudec restaurant

Chef Enrico Bartolini has been awarded three Michelin stars for his restaurant at the Mudec (Museo delle Culture) in Milan, marking the return of a three-starred restaurant to the city after 25 years. The last was Gualtiero Marchesi's establishment in 1993. The 2019 Michelin Guide, presented on November 6, also gave Bartolini two stars for his Glam in Venice (with chef Donato Ascani). Lombardy remains the region with the most starred restaurants (62). Bartolini, born in 1979 in Castelmartini, Tuscany, now manages about ten restaurants in Italy and abroad, including Casual in Bergamo Alta, La Trattoria in Castiglion della Pescaia, Roberto's in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and Spiga in Hong Kong. His philosophy, "BE Contemporary Classic," combines tradition with innovation. Bartolini described the award as an Olympic gold, sharing credit with Remo and Mario Capitaneo, Sebastien Ferrara, and Donato Ascani.
