English National Ballet (ENB) has disclosed a potential data breach affecting some customers' contact information following a cyber attack on Beacon CRM, a customer relationship management software provider used by arts and cultural organizations. Beacon CRM discovered that compromised credentials were used to gain unauthorized access to its systems and is conducting a thorough forensic investigation with specialist experts. ENB stated that some customer email addresses and business contact information may have been included in the affected data, but no passwords or payment details were compromised. The ballet company apologized for the concerning incident and advised customers to be cautious of suspicious emails. Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, another user of Beacon CRM, also released a statement saying it is contacting potentially affected individuals, noting that while there is no evidence of misuse, the information could be used for phishing or fraudulent requests. The breach is part of a wider incident affecting multiple arts and culture organizations. ENB emphasized that Beacon acted promptly to secure systems and notified relevant authorities.
