Endalt Arquitectes and Josep Eixerés Design House for Musicians in Alcàsser

In Alcàsser, Valencia, Spain, Endalt Arquitectes (Carles Rosaleny and Marcel·lí Rosaleny) and Josep Eixerés have completed 'Casa per a piano i violí' (House for Piano and Violin), a 220-square-meter residence completed in 2025. The project involved demolishing a 1930s house to accommodate an extensive program for its inhabitants, violinist Fernando and pianist Aida, who require integrated spaces for production, teaching, and rehearsal. The design reinterprets traditional local typologies, incorporating a ground-floor studio for teaching and a top-floor piano space with wooden floors for acoustic quality, visually open to the central patio. The house adapts to an irregular plot, with orthogonal main rooms and irregular circulation and patio spaces. The patio, conceived as a reinterpretation of a street, uses raw materials like rasilla, glazed ceramic, and traditional renders. The facade is deliberately simple, referencing the historic center of Alcàsser, with a single hydraulic tile with blue motifs as a personal gesture.
