Ena Swansea's Night and Day Reversible Sofa featured in solo booth at The Salon: Art + Design fair

festival-fair · 2026-04-23

Ena Swansea, a contemporary artist, showcases her 2014 Night and Day Reversible Sofa at The Salon: Art + Design fair, which runs until November 17. This unique serpentine sofa features cushions that can be flipped, displaying white synthetic fur on one side and photographic prints of her artwork on the reverse. Swansea partnered with the Friedman Benda gallery years ago to bring this furniture idea to life. The event at Park Avenue Armory features over 50 exhibitors presenting 20th-century and contemporary art and design from 1890 to today, as well as ethnographic pieces and antiquities. The fair is open daily from 11 am, with extended hours of 9 pm on Saturday, 7 pm on Sunday, and 5 pm on Monday. David Cohen reported on the exhibition for artcritical.
