Emmanuel Régent Maps Côte d'Azur Architecture in Tetris-like Installation

exhibition · 2026-04-23

Emmanuel Régent created a large-scale horizontal Tetris-like wall installation for the exhibition "L'art contemporain et la Côte d'Azur : Le temps du territoire" at Villa Arson, running from June 24 to October 30, 2011. The work interprets a selection of about sixty buildings from the book "L'Architecture contemporaine sur la Côte d'Azur : un panorama," co-published by the Conseil général des Alpes-Maritimes and Les Presses du Réel. Curated by Éric De Backer, the installation offers an unprecedented cartography of the region. Guided tours of some of the featured architectures are organized, led by Ève Roy, an author and researcher in art and architectural history.
