Emilio Fantin's Pulsazione#1 ECO at Casa dei Risvegli in Bologna

During Bologna Art Week (February 1-4, 2019), concurrent with ArteFiera, Emilio Fantin presents Pulsazione#1 ECO, a performative installation at Casa dei Risvegli Luca De Nigris, a public rehabilitation facility for brain injury patients. The work centers on a large labyrinth called the Integratore (approx. 8x5 meters), made of metal mesh and fabric, creating an intimate refuge-stage where visitors can hear but not see each other. Inside, six chairs designed by Fantin are placed: four for spectators and two for narrators selected from former patients, current patients, staff, and volunteers from the association Gli amici di Luca. The project explores the intersection of art and therapy, aiming to raise awareness about the exchange between creative process and rehabilitation. Fantin describes his practice as 'working with people,' emphasizing ritual and presence. The installation was originally conceived for Fondazione Pistoletto. Curated by Fabiola Naldi, the event requires reservation from January 15-30, 2019.
