digital · 2026-04-27

For Valentine's Day 2022, Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi and Negramaro frontman Giuliano Sangiorgi collaborated on 'May I Love You', a trio of NFT artworks exploring the theme of the kiss. The three video loops, illustrated by Ponzi and scored by Sangiorgi, were released on SuperRare starting February 14, 2022. The project was promoted by Art Rights, an Italian digital arts leader. Ponzi, known for his work with the New York Times, Le Monde, the New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Penguin Books, Feltrinelli, Bulgari, Armani, Lamborghini, and Barilla, described the NFTs as 'nuclei of emotion' allowing viewers to experience love's many forms. Curator Giacomo Nicolella Maschietti, who wrote about the NFT phenomenon in Artribune Magazine #63, praised Ponzi's distinctive style and recognition. The NFTs are available on Ponzi's website.
